Re-reading my solution I noticed a typographical error in line 2 of paragraph 5 of my solution:
"...passing through $z$ and $\mathcal{P}_v(\widehat{z})$..." should read
"...passing through $\widehat{z}$ and $\mathcal{P}_v(\widehat{z})$..."
I have amended my solution.
