Gary Although Needham does not call this an exercise it clearly is and runs from the bottom of page 317 to the line $\rho d\widehat{s}=1$. Here is my take on this exercise. I took Needham's advice at the bottom of page 317 and drew a picture! This download now includes my solution to the suggested exercises on page 318. Vasco

Your version is good. It illustrates the progress of increasing $\rho$ and is explicit regarding the arc RP.
