There is an error at the end of subsection 1 of section IV on page 442: the term in $(1/z)$ in the Laurent series for $F(z)$ when $|z|>2$ should not be there. The answer to the suggested exercise is therefore
$F(z)=\frac{1}{z^2}+\frac{3}{z^3}+\frac{7}{z^4}+...+\frac{2^{n-1}-1}{z^n}+...$ for $|z|>2$
