It seems that there are a couple of errors in the statement of exercise 13.
In part (iii), to be consistent with the notation on pages 98-99 of chapter 2 of the paperback year 2000 edition of the book, $\ln$ should everywhere be replaced by $\log$.
Also in the introductory sentence to part (iv) it should read "...any path from $0$ to $z$ that avoids integer multiples of $\pi$,...".
