This site supports Latex and MathTex. I have often found it useful to have a printout of symbols pertaining to complex analysis. The following is a link to a .pdf file displaying the construction of some of the common symbols used in Visual Complex Analysis, with perhaps a few additional symbols. With a supportive .pdf reader (e.g. Adobe, Preview) one can cut and paste the constructions from this document.
The symbol list defines, under "3 Operators", a dot product symbol with "\boldsymbol". To add an alternative medium sized dot, see this page: latex.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10411
It involves defining a new dot named "\bdot" with a bit of programming prior to the declaration of a document.
