The journey of a thousand miles start with a single step, so they say. Here's my first step to recovering-or in some cases, just gaining-my knowledge of undergraduate level mathematics. I come from a physics background, but I always stumbled over mathematics as a student for a host of reasons. I realized that the first step back into physics is to gain real competency in mathematics for the first time in my life, and cmplex analysis is where I've chosen to start. I always loved contour integration in a naive, procedural kind of way, but what I really want to do this time around is push myself to understand the geometrical *meaning* of what is going on.
Don't know if anybody else is here, but if you are, ping me and we can go through this together. If not, let this be mark not just the beginning of my mathematical journey, but a new chapter in life in general. Merry Christmas, Happy Saturnalia, or Holidays, or whatever you like.
